Infant Moccasins
If you are looking for infant moccasins for your child, you should feel very proud of yourself.
Infants and moccasins are meant for each other. You therefore, are smarter than the masses when it comes to taking care of your child's feet.
From my perspective as a Pedorthist, . . . . .infants should all be wearing mocs. Mocs make so much sense for your child, due to the nature of your child’s feet.
The first three years of life are the most important with regards to the fit and design of an infant's shoe. Due to the mold-ability of your infant's feet and his/her constant need to wiggle his toes, it is critical your little one’s feet, not be placed in tight, unyielding shoes.
Babies constantly wiggle their toes. This is nature's way of exercising the foot for development. A baby's toes have 10-15 times the gripping capacity of adults. Toe gripping is essential for balance as your infant begins to walk.
Since I don't actually sell moccasins or slippers, and a number of individuals were asking for them, I searched and found a company who carries a nice, broad selection.
And, just to be sure I felt comfortable sending my visitors to them, I ordered a pair myself. I was quite impressed. I received them just as they said. I paid no shipping, (no return shipping, if I had have wanted to return them), and no sales tax. Also, they offered me a 60 day return policy.

Most shoes one the market, do nothing but hinder your infant's balance and ability to walk. The more easily your infant’s feet can function, the more naturally he or she will learn to walk.
. . . . . . . An infant moccasin allows the foot to function naturally. I highly recommend an infant moccasin with a thin, soft sole.
Most shoes for infants have a rubber sole. This is very difficult for your infant to lift his/her foot high enough to keep him from tripping on the grippy rubber sole. It is much more advantageous to place her feet in baby mocs.

During the first three years of your infant’s life, his/her foot is growing faster than it will at any other time in her life. Her feet will likely grow 2 full shoe sizes in that short period of time. It doesn't seem to make any difference between boys and girls at those ages; they both grow at about the same rate.
And, just for the fun of knowing, at 2 years of age, the infant's foot is almost exactly half the size it will be once the infant becomes an adult.
